the trees provide an interesting contrast to the rest of the picture. they are solid and real, and the rest is flowing and colorful. nice.

The difference in complexity of the different layers works well, great use of bold colours and line in the background. I like the way you've created a sense of depth across the flat layer, by the scaling down of the other creatures (at least I think that's what you were trying to achieve). The tree overlapping the giraffe's leg confuses me though. Unless it's supposed to be a giant giraffe running riot. Haha.
